The threads of connection intended through the music of Before Kings include the following: Greek philosophy, Theophrastus, herbs, wise men, Kings, and the Book of Kings, King David, King Solomon, Poetic Edda with much inspiration from the Icelandic manuscript Codex Regius, Norwegian poems, language, cosmic cycle, and the Greek water clock/water thief. Once again, Echelon 2049’s synthesizer music falls into the musical genres of synth-rock and synth-metal with the new addition of synth-pop. The musician’s first principles thinking pervades through the tracks.
